Jet2.com Check-In Expansion at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

Working closely with Jet2.com at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA), ISS UK supported the amendment and development of the existing check-in layout to provide additional capacity and improve the passenger baggage drop process.

By modifying the existing layout and installing additional check-in desks, the completed works have enabled Jet2.com to operate a total of 10 check-in desks, all equipped with bag drop functionality.

The enhanced arrangement allows passengers to dispatch their hold luggage directly into the airport’s baggage handling system without the requirement for a member of staff to be positioned at every individual desk. This helps to create a more efficient and flexible check-in operation, while supporting improved passenger flow during busy periods.

The project demonstrates how considered modifications to existing airport infrastructure can increase operational capacity, make better use of available space and support the continued development of passenger processing facilities.
